Lots to see and do as GSCC Celebrates ACYF - Day 2

Day 2 continued with a bang as everyone arrived at school for another early 7 am start with GSCC boarding the buses to Sydney Olympic park.

Upon our arrival, we once again made our way to Qudos Bank Arena, where we were greeted by the pre-plenary Pump Up team. We witnessed some amazing performances by Fr Rob Galea, Genevievw Byrant and the ACYF House Band, along with a talk by Emily Watson. Mark Edwards the bishop of Melbourne continued by giving us a presentation of why Christ is important in our lives.

After the opening plenary, we moved off in our small groups to the various activites that were planned throughout Sydney Olympic Park. We experienced the benefits that some activites offered including performances by Steve Angrisano, exploring the Encounter Dome and Justice Activity Centre and talks on being a young adult in a secular world. The ACU entertainment area was really active today, with music and drama performances from Emmanuel Worship and the Youth Mission Team.

With our day ending early today, our Good Sam groups headed back to the meeting area for a group photo. Our voices might have been sore from all the singing and praising over the past two days, but our hearts were still full of enthusiasm for day 3! We headed home for a good night's sleep, as we prepare for the pilgrimage to The Domain on day 3. See you there!
