Harmony Day at GSCC
It really has been a multicultural week at GSCC, where various activities were held to celebrate Harmony Day 2019.
A prayer was said in different languages each day after the Angelus, a BBQ of different foods was organised by Year 11, and a number of performers celebrated cultural diversity.
On Friday, our teachers were given a workout when they versed students in a friendly game of soccer. The students were certainly too good for this round, where they won 1-0.
Good Samaritan Catholic College celebrated Harmony Week this week; a time to celebrate multiculturalism in Australia. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
