With Google Expeditions, teachers are no longer limited by the space of the classroom. Google Expeditions VR lets you explore the world virtually, allowing teachers to guide students through collections of 360° scenes and 3D objects, pointing out interesting sites and artifacts along the way.
Explore history, science, the arts, and the natural world. Whether you’re roaming with dinosaurs or taking a look at Renaissance sculptures, there’s something amazing to explore for every subject.
With around 1000 VR expeditions to choose from, the Expeditions app allows teachers to guide students through a virtual tour, or may opt to allow students to explore an expedition themselves (solo mode). Many expeditions have integrated resource notes, as well as questions (and answers) to motivate analysis.
Virtual reality tours are best viewed using a smartphone and Google Headset, otherwise viewing the expedition with just a smartphone is also possible.
