As school captains, it was an honour to lead our College in celebrating the 26th Annual Good
Samaritan Day, a day that has become a cherished tradition at our school. This day recognises the
talent, history, and faith that are at the heart of our College and was filled with moments that truly
embodied the spirit of the Good Samaritan.
The day began with a solemn yet uplifting celebration of Mass, where our College community came
together to reflect on the values that guide us. The homily reminded us of the importance of
compassion, selflessness, and service to others—values that are at the core of the Good Samaritan
parable. As we joined in prayer, it was evident that this day was not just a celebration of our
College's history, but also a call to live out these values in our daily lives.
In the afternoon, the College grounds were transformed into a bustling marketplace as students ran
various stores, offering everything from homemade crafts to delicious treats. The creativity and
entrepreneurial spirit on display were truly inspiring, and it was wonderful to see how our students
came together to support one another's efforts. The stores were not only a way for students to
showcase their talents but also an opportunity to give back, as many chose to donate their
proceeds to charity.
At the close of the stall, we moved into the Good Sam Day Concert. The Concert wasn't just about
showcasing skills; it was also a celebration of the diversity and creativity that make our College
unique. As we watched each performance, we couldn't help but feel proud of the way our peers
either were on stage sharing their unique talents or in the crowd cheering each other on.
As the day drew to a close, we took a moment to reflect on what Good Samaritan Day means to our
College. It is a celebration of who we are as a College community—1,350 strong, united in our
commitment to living out the values of faith, service, and compassion. We are grateful to have had
the opportunity to lead our school on our last Good Samaritan Day and look forward to continue
celebrating and upholding the values of the Good Samaritan. God Bless,
