The SCS Dance Eisteddfod proved to be a highly successful and memorable event for our performers, showcasing exceptional talent, resilience, and dedication across various categories. Our dancers demonstrated not only technical movements but also incredible adaptability, leading to a fantastic set of results.

Placings
Lyrical (choreographed by Mrs Tomic, Mrs Georgieff, Karina J, Skye O, Sienna N and Catalina A).
In a highly competitive Lyrical section featuring seven schools, our performance captivated the judges, earning us an outstanding 1st Place. This victory was made even more remarkable by an unforeseen challenge: a costume for the routine was missing, which led to us having to borrow one from another school. Despite this hurdle, our dancer's spirit shone through. With a borrowed costume, they delivered an absolutely stunning routine that clearly stood out, securing the top spot against strong opposing schools. This result is a testament to their professionalism, quick thinking and unwavering focus.

Jazz
The Jazz category saw strong performances from our dancers, resulting in a remarkable double placement within the same section. We are thrilled to report:
1st Place in Jazz (choreographed by Karina J, Skye O, Sienna N, Catalina A and Ilaria I).
3rd Place in Jazz (choreographed by Sienna N, Catalina A and Ilaria I).
Achieving both the top spot and a third place finish in the same section highlights the depth of talent and the high standard of our jazz choreography and execution. Both routines were energetic, precise and highly entertaining, leaving a lasting impression on the judges.

Hip Hop (choreographed by Karina J and Skye O)
Our Hip Hop routine brought dynamic energy and sharp synchronisation to the stage, earning us a fantastic 2nd Place. The performance was a vibrant display of rhythm and contemporary moves, demonstrating excellent teamwork and stage presence. This result is a credit to the dedication and hard work invested in perfecting this energetic routine.

Cultural (choreographed by Valerie T and Lagi V)
The Cultural dance category showcased a beautiful and moving performance, securing a commendable 4th Place. This routine celebrated Samoan heritage and storytelling through movement, performed with grace and respectful adherence to traditional elements.
Overall, the eisteddfod was a resounding success, marked by incredible performances and inspiring resilience. Thank you to our student choreographers and staff for their efforts in making this our most incredible year yet.
Congratulations to all our dancers for their exceptional achievements and for representing GSCC with pride.
