Last Tuesday, Good Samaritan Catholic College lit up Prairiewood Leisure Centre with an unforgettable day of colour, energy and House pride at our 2026 Swimming Carnival. From the first race to the final cheer, students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, enthusiasm and commitment, making it one of the standout events of our school year.
The competition was fierce across all age groups, with swimmers giving their all in every event. Congratulations to our Age Champions, whose consistency and determination earned them top honours on the day. A special mention also goes to all students who participated in the 25‑metre events, contributing valuable points and showcasing the inclusive spirit of the carnival.
The War Cries competition once again brought out the best of our House culture, with each House delivering passionate, creative and high‑energy performances. De Paul claimed the War Cries Shield for 2026 after an impressive display of unity and volume.
In the overall points tally, the race for the Swimming Carnival Shield came right down to the wire. After 99 events and a margin of just 44 points separating first and second place, Chisholm emerged as the 2026
Swimming Carnival Champions.
