As part of our Picture Book study, Miss Woodley assigned us a creative task to design a front cover for a picture book, in groups, focusing on an environmental issue of our choice. Our cover needed a catchy title and had to showcase a variety of visual techniques in our illustrations. At first, we struggled to come up with a main concept, but brainstorming ideas and collaborating with our team helped us overcome this challenge. This collaboration with our classmates offered new perspectives, allowing us to make thoughtful improvements and strengthen our individual skills, in preparation for our assessment task. Overall, this project enriched our artistic and writing abilities through creative development and teamwork.
