This term, students in the Newman Program have been diving deep into the skills that matter most in our rapidly changing world. Beyond literacy, numeracy and science, they’ve been developing powerful thinking skills—habits of mind that help them question, reflect, collaborate and innovate. These capabilities are essential not just for academic success, but for lifelong learning and meaningful engagement in society. To celebrate and showcase their incredible work, we warmly invite all parents and carers to the GSCC Newman Symposium, where students will present their projects exploring the theme for 2025, A Changing World.
Date: Wednesday 22nd October 2025
Time: 3:30pm onwards commencing with Afternoon Tea served at the college canteen
Location: Learning Centre & P Block
Year 7 and 8 students will present their ideas in an interactive expo format in the P Block.
