Reflecting on another busy term at GSCC

Term 2 at Good Samaritan Catholic College has been a busy period that's been filled with academic achievements, enriching activities, and memorable events. Our students and staff have shown remarkable dedication and enthusiasm, making this term another significant chapter in our school year.

The academic performance of our students has been commendable. Our Year 7 students have seamlessly transitioned into secondary school life, displaying eagerness and commitment to their studies. The mid-year assessments were successfully conducted, and we are proud of the outstanding results achieved by our students, reflecting their hard work and perseverance.

There have also been a number of major events and happenings around the College:

10:10 Project Conference

In May, Good Samaritan Catholic College had the honour of hosting the 10:10 Project Conference. The event brought together students and staff from across the region for a day of workshops, discussions, and presentations focused on faith, leadership, and community service. Hosting this conference was a testament to our commitment to fostering leadership and spiritual growth within our school community.

Sydney Catholic Schools Youth Night

Students from Years 7-12 participated in the Sydney Catholic Schools Youth Night, organised by The 10:10 Project. The evening was filled with games, inspiring talks, and meaningful discussions. A procession to Good Shepherd Parish for a peaceful prayer session and reconciliation was a highlight, offering students a chance to connect in a faith-filled environment.

Sporting Achievements

Our Senior Boys Football Team achieved an incredible milestone by winning the SCS Conference 4 Grand Final with a 2-1 victory. They now advance to the Sydney Championship Quarter Finals, where we look forward to their continued success. Additionally, various inter-school sports competitions saw our students excel in athletics, netball, and basketball, showcasing their teamwork and dedication.

Cultural and Creative Endeavours

Term 2 witnessed an array of cultural activities. Our students delivered captivating performances during the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod showcase, and CAPA's Pantomime production was met with applause and admiration. These events highlighted the artistic talents of our students and their passion for the creative arts.

As we reflect on the events and accomplishments of Term 2, we are filled with pride and gratitude. The collaborative efforts of students, teachers, and parents have made this term an enriching experience for all. We eagerly anticipate the challenges and opportunities that Term 3 will bring, confident that our students will continue to excel and grow.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Term 2 at Good Samaritan Catholic College a memorable and successful period. We look forward to building on this success in the upcoming term.
