We are thrilled to announce that Year 8 student Nariya Phetmany has received the Highly Commended Award in the Living Stories 2025 Writing Competition! This prestigious competition, part of the Living Stories Western Sydney Writing Prize, invites residents of Western Sydney and Wingecarribee Shire to share their unique voices and stories under the theme “Only I Can Say.”
Living Stories, supported by WestWords and the NSW Government, encourages participants aged 10 and older to submit original pieces of writing, including short stories, personal essays, and poems. Nariya's achievement highlights her creativity and talent amidst a diverse pool of submissions. Congratulations to Nariya for this incredible recognition, and we look forward to seeing more of her literary contributions in the future!

This term, our Year 8 students have embarked on a remarkable journey of self-discovery by writing their memoirs. Through this process, they have been exposed to a variety of novels and excerpts that exemplify themes of gratitude in the face of adversity. Their heartfelt, candid, and reflective pieces showcase their unique experiences and perspectives, offering a glimpse into their lives and personal growth. We commend our Year 8 students for their dedication and emotional honesty, which have made this writing exercise both meaningful and impactful. Keep up the fantastic work!
