Tournament of Minds Competition 2026

We are thrilled to announce that GSCC has entered this year’s Tournament of Minds (TOM) competition! Our team is already hard at work putting their critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to the test as they tackle a complex STEM Challenge.
We are thrilled to announce that GSCC has entered this year’s Tournament of Minds (TOM) competition! Our team is already hard at work putting their critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to the test as they tackle a complex STEM Challenge.

This year’s Tournament of Minds team is composed of Matilda Butt, Alana Dang, Monique Farrugia, Angela Khov, Ryan Li, Aayushi Pandey, and Sarai Thongphrachanh from Year 10. 

The team has been tasked with creating an original proposal for a new Sci-fi film designed to wow audiences worldwide. Rejecting CGI, the students are taking a classic practical-effects approach by building a miniature which will be featured in a memorable scene from their film. 

Our team will be presenting their challenge on Tournament Day on Saturday 29th August. You can support our team by asking them about their design and cheering them on as tournament day approaches.

We look forward to sharing their final creations with the school community soon!
