GSCC congratulates our Year 12 Graduates of 2020!

Despite the global impacts of COVID-19 in 2020, Year 12 have worked exceptionally hard throughout a stressful school year. Today was a celebration of their dedicated work to their studies, as the College congratulated our Graduates of 2020.

2020 has certainly challenged many of us. Returning to a normal school routine after many weeks of learning from home was quite stressful on this year’s graduating class. The middle of the year saw many schools around the country to close, leaving students to adapt to online learning. This affected students everywhere, including our Year 12's. Regardless of this, they persevered, and were supported by the staff and the rest of the community at Good Samaritan.

Thursday was a momentous milestone for our Year 12s. After 13 years of studying at school, they finally graduated. The College community recognised the hard work and dedication of our senior students; and this was undertaken in a rather different type of celebration due to the current restrictions in place.

The graduation ceremony was live streamed by the GSCC Special Events & Media Team to the school community on Thursday the 15th October, which commenced with a special Good Samaritan Day Mass from our Chapel. The stream also covered the Graduation Ceremony and Farewell Procession. The link to the live stream can be found below. We hope you can join us in celebrating this wonderful milestone.
