The Parliament of NSW and Government House jointly conduct a civics and citizenship program for Year 12 student leaders from all NSW secondary schools. It allows the student leaders to develop their knowledge of our system of government, parliamentary proceedings, the role of members of parliament, and the role of the Governor of NSW. This civics and citizenship program offers Year 12 student leaders the opportunity to develop their knowledge of our system of government and parliamentary proceedings and meet their Member of Parliament at NSW Parliament. It then involves a walk to Government House to meet the Governor of NSW and learn about the role of the Governor.

The College Vice Captains - Simon Lam and Julia Raco - attended this event with Mr Cancino on Wednesday March 19th. The students engaged with various members of parliament and were also able to meet the Governor of NSW - The Honourable Margaret Beazley. This experience solidified the students own knowledge of what it means to be a leader whilst also gaining a deeper understanding of the NSW Government.
